The Bespoke Commission Process

A commissioned painting is a collaborative work between you and me. In working on your art piece, I will take into consideration the space where the painting will hang, your personal style and the emotions and story you want to convey.

Typically, I work from reference photos I have taken. My process can involve everything from making my own panels, drawings, color studies to making my own paints. As a result, it can take up to 4-6 months to complete a commission.

Included with your commission is a framing consultation. I can help you choose the perfect frame; I can suggest multiple online frame sources to help you purchase affordable frames. For an additional $30 ( cost of frame not included), I will frame your custom painting.

Pricing is based on the complexity and size of the commissioned painting. A simple head & shoulders oil on panel painting up to 9” x 12” is typically $500. (Total price will be impacted by travel costs, shipping, etc.)
